Cannon Green is a luxurious twelve-storey complex situated in the heart of the Square Mile. Covering a total of 82,000 square feet of office space, the facilities also extend to a concept bar, a restaurant as well as a business lounge and a gym. With the prestigious nature of the building, and the occupancy of high-end tenants, monitoring the maintenance quality the lifts receive is paramount to ensuring seamless ride quality and efficient travel time.
The building is served by a duplex lift system located by the main entrance reception at ground floor, and a triplex lift system at the rear of the complex – nicknamed ‘Riverside’ due to its proximity to the Thames. The triplex includes one shuttle passenger lift that, in addition to providing access to all the floors that the other two group lifts do, serves the penthouse floor.
Through our maintenance monitoring programme, we provide assurance that the lifecycle of the lifts is maximised. Our annual lift maintenance audit (which can be chosen as a six-monthly option) is a comprehensive assessment of the service quality provision provided by the contractor, currently Apex Lifts.
Orbex VT Consulting survey the lift to assess that a standard of maintenance has been obtained. ensure optimum performance and maximum longevity of the lift systems.
In order to achieve this goal, the following checks are carried out:
- The hall and lobby is checked for obstructions, damage to the framework of the lift doors, smooth running of the doors and issues with the display of the lift as well as any call buttons
- The car interior is examined for damage to wall panels, the car operating panel, the emergency alarm and whether the communication system is effective…
- The car top checked for contaminants, wear on guide shoes and guide rollers
- The lift shaft is examined to ensure it is illuminated throughout
- The lift pit is checked to ensure there is no oil leak on the floor along with contaminants
Our services here also provide support to resolving site issues. For example, our coordination on site with the building client and the contractors was essential in pinpointing the cause of a persistent access control issue, which was then quickly resolved with our involvement.
